26 Jul Hospitality
More than 20 years in and still going strong, Hospital Records remains a pillar of the UK drum & bass scene, and their infamous Hospitality sessions are one of their main sources of pride. Where other labels and nights seek to go darker or harder, Hospital champion positivity and musicality, making their parties some of the most feel-good D&B sessions around.
It helps of course that they have a die-hard roster that rank among some of the finest producers operating today, and the roll call for this return to Motion reads like a dream. High Contrast and Danny Byrd are constants in the world of Hospital, while supremely talented live act Fred V & Grafix and Bristol’s very own Hugh Hardie represent a younger generation on the label. Alongside all the in-house talent, special guests The Prototypes and Culture Shock will be on hand to represent Shogun Audio and RAM Records respectively.
Aside from the action in Room 1, there’s also an unmissable treat going down in Room 2 as Fabio & Grooverider take over with a Rage-era jungle set. Considering these two were complicit in shaping the sound of jungle (and by default, drum & bass) back in the early 90s at the infamous Rage parties, you can expect this to be a masterclass in the roots of the music.
