Klose One [All Night Long]
The anticipation surrounding Gorgon City’s second album Kingdom has been at fever pitch for nearly two years, and now they’re finally ready to share it with the world. Foamo and RackNRuin’s production partnership has taken the electronic music world by storm, fusing house, garage and electronica into a wide-reaching sound that has deservedly pushed them to the forefront of a scene where all kinds of styles and influences are poured into the melting pot. With early singles featuring the likes of Wyclef Jean, Tink and Mikky Ekko, Kingdom promises to be the album that cements Gorgon City’s crossover into the mainstream, while still retaining their underground heritage.
This special event gives Foamo and RackNRuin the chance to present their new material, but it’s not just the Gorgon City boys you get to enjoy on the night. They’ll be joined by Shadow Child, whose infectious take on deep and tech house has been responsible for such deep and tech house hits as “Bad Girl (At Night)” featuring Lisa Maffia and “Baditude” featuring Sam Obernik. As if that wasn’t enough, you can also catch the supremely talented polymath Klose One holding court over Room 2 for the entire night with his razor-sharp blend of house, garage, grime, soca, bashment and plenty more besides.
