ILLYUS & BARRIENTOS
The mythology swirling around Claptone has reached fever pitch in recent years. From behind his golden carnival mask, the mysterious producer has conjured up a brand of partying that moves beyond the music to tap into the very psyche of the people he gathers under his Masquerade banner. By stating the importance of the gold masks both for himself and the crowd, Claptone wants everyone to cut loose that little bit more, free of inhibitions and able to truly project themselves in the bliss of anonymity. Of course it helps that he delivers a killer soundtrack to this unbridled hedonism, serving up the kind of loose and heavy grooving house music that was built to shake the walls of Motion. The scene is set for an utterly fabulous celebration of everything a great party should be when dance music’s own masked vigilante swoops into Bristol.
